9 Goals to Inspire Your Fall Kick-Start

Summer slipped away from us with basically a blink of an eye. But in that time we still let ourselves bask (minus the sunlight) in that summer haze of relaxation, vacation and easy-going lifestyle.

With fall rolling around the corner and pumpkin spice lattes already in hand we have some serious Qs for you Bikergang! What goals are you setting for yourself to kick-start your way out of that summer haze? What are you going to do with your next 117 days until the new year?

To get you started on some kick-butt goals to help you kick-start your next 117 days, we collected some of our favourite ways to get moving, thinking, and loving life!

1) In the morning, ask yourself what you want to have accomplished by the end of the day

Before getting up, think about what you want to have accomplished, finished or made progress on before the day is up. Then think about how good you will feel in the evening when you can check those boxes like the goal crusher you are!

2) Plan out your week

Daily planners or planning apps are lifesavers when you’ve got a bustling schedule! Keep your scheduler on you at all times and write down events as they come up and you’ll never have to worry about double-booking a spin class at the same time as a coffee meeting ever again. Woop Woop!

 3) Meal prep

I know, I know, it’s a classic goal for eating well and getting out the door early in the mornings. But it’s a tried and true one that we stand by. Fill those colorful-lided (yup just made up that word) tupperware with pre-cooked meals on a lazy Sunday and you’ll not only end up eating food that’s better for you but you’ll save the money you would have spent buying lunch as well!

4) Smile at yourself every time you see your reflection

A little smile goes a long way, for example, we can attest that smiling through a minute-long hover does make it marginally better! SO, the logic holds up that giving yourself a smile each time you catch a glimpse of your reflection will help brighten your day and eventually have you looking for more places to catch that cheeky grin looking back at you!

5) Disconnect from your tech for 30 minutes a day

Take a little break from your screens, beeps, dings, and buzzes. Being connected is great but sometimes we need a little time away from the distractions of the online world to focus on the offline one. Putting your phone on silent and keeping it in a separate room from where you are, helps keep you present.

 6) Eat food with friends or family

Eating with people is sooo much better than eating by ourselves!! Sharing food and laughter around the table with loved ones is the perfect way to start or end a day and having a lunch buddy is a great way to break up the workday. Plus nobody ever had a food fight with only one person, just saying.

 7) Stop procrastinating for 15 minutes

Think of one thing that you’ve been meaning to do forever but just haven’t gotten around to or perhaps have been avoiding. Now, set a timer for 15 minutes. That’s it, that’s all. Just 15 minutes to work on whatever it is and see how much you get done.

 Then do it again tomorrow.

 8) Sign up for fitness classes

Motivation is hard. No joke! But having classes to help keep you accountable will make you more likely to show up not only for the money or the friends you’ve made but ultimately, for yourself.

Our Fall Kick-Start pass is 15 classes for $150 dollars to be used through the month of September. Talk about a kick in the butt!!

 9) Treat yourself!!

You’ve put in so much hard work to keep your mind, body, and spirit on track. YOU deserve to a pat on the back every now and then in the form of ice cream, fitness wear, a mini-vacay, or whatever tickles your fancy!

Try not to think about your treats as a form of measurement or reward. You always deserve the good things in life, so treat yourself as the opportunity arises but remember that treats feel extra sweet when you’ve been working hard before you get them.

When you go to bed tonight, think about where you want your goals to get you for 2020. Who do you want to be? What changes do you want to see? Because you can be and do anything you set your heart on if you start putting in the work today.

The new year doesn’t have to be the only time to set goals for yourself and lean into productivity Bikergang! Sign up for our Fall Kick-Start 15 class pass!
